Our Training Philosophy
At
Liberty K9, you'll often hear us say "it's all about the love."
We stand behind this in our training and in our relationship
we form with all our dogs keeping them happy, yet eager to
please and work. Our goal is to help you create your own
stable, relaxed pack environment with balance and security
but without stress and anxiety.
Establishing a pack relationship
with your dog requires a full understanding of how your dog
learns and how to communicate effectively with your canine
companion. Through our unique training approach, you'll
begin to see results consistently that are much more
effective than other "Quick Fix"
methods that only help to manage the problem, not completely
get rid of it.
E-Touch,
developed by Martin Deeley, utilizes the remote training
e-collar as a tool that helps us with our methodology,
philosophy, and approach to dog training. It is not a magic
method, but a catalyst which can be incorporated
within training approaches to train even better. In training
a dog we may use food, toys, tactile rewards, and verbal
praise. The e-collar is a tool that can be added to the
mixture to create something special. The main principles of
good training do not disappear. We stay creative, and work
within the temperament and pace of the dog – reading the
dog, and by doing so maintaining an essential true companion
relationship. E-Touch helps create a dog that will be a dog,
will make decisions, and basically acts as a dog while
remaining a partner.

The ForceFree Method™,
similar to E-Touch,
is an intuitive system of training that makes sense to both
people and dogs. Effective and gentle, the training method
works WITH the dogs instincts rather than against them. We
achieve off leash reliability, even with distractions,
amazingly fast. Most dogs
perceive the training as simple "pack cooperation" and play.
Therefore, they quickly shed rebellious behavior, and give
you more focus than you imagined possible.
Marc Goldberg
has refined this method over the last several years to yield
an approach that is amazingly gentle, uses no force, and
that works with virtually all dogs. The interesting aspect
is how HAPPY your dog's attitude will be. The method works
quickly, yet is calming. You'll watch your dog calm
and change his or her behavior throughout the learning process.
